12 Issues that Matter Most to District 21

1.

The Economy: The basic unit of our economy is not a dollar, but a person. Right now, for every one American who dies, there is one baby born. There is no sustainable economic model for a flat, or worse, declining population. Implementing policies that promote growing families is the first step to sustained economic health. Repealing “no-fault divorce” laws and increasing child tax credits for people with three or more children would be a good start.

Government Waste: As government centralizes, the bureaucracies become self-propagating and bloated, creating conditions ripe for waste. I support Trump’s DOGE initiative with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to scrutinize the entire Federal government for waste, fraud, and corruption, making the necessary cuts.

The Border and Immigration: The Northern Border Patrol in New York apprehends nearly 200,000 illegal migrants annually.

Over 500,000 children have been lost to sex trafficking in the United States under the Biden Administration. Among other things, in my Sex Trafficking Opposition and Prevention (S.T.O.P.) Plan, I propose we reinstate rapid DNA testing for children and adults to curb the rampant sex trafficking that is currently plaguing our nation. We also need to shut down the abuse of asylum by a) increasing immigration administration staff and b) freeing ICE officers to engage in actual border security, stopping the flow of illegal immigrants and ending the evil of human trafficking.

Education: As a father of ten homeschooled children, I believe parents should be empowered to control the education of their children. The regionalization and centralization of school districts robs parents of their ability to hold their schools and teachers accountable.

I support President Trump’s efforts to abolish the monolithic bureaucracy—that is the Department of Education. Forcing sex education and normalizing transgender ideology in school curricula amounts to systemic child sex abuse and must be stopped immediately. This includes the ridiculous notion of allowing males in girls’ sports and restrooms.

Ukraine: The last four years of weak American leadership paved the way for geopolitical instability. President Trump is a brilliant negotiator. I am confident he will resolve the conflict in Ukraine and elsewhere, resulting in another four, war-free years.

Missile Defense System at Ft. Drum: To safeguard the Northern and Eastern Borders of our Country from developing communist threats issuing from Russia and China, I support Congresswoman Stefanik’s push for a missile defense system at Ft. Drum. Our brave soldiers are capable of the increased responsibility and well-deserving of the honor.

Supporting troops, veterans, and their families: On the battlefield, trust is key. My close friend, a recently retired U.S. Army Colonel from the 10th Mountain Division says, “It’s not about the politics when you’re out there. You are fighting for the guy next to you.”

One of the best first things for the Military is reinforcing morale. This can be done quickly by eliminating DEI policies. Further, to honor the sacrifice our veterans and their families make in service to this nation, the best job training for transition back into civilian life and top-tier medical care are a well-deserved gesture of respect and gratitude.

Local Law Enforcement: My son just graduated top of his class in the police academy in New York. Local Law Enforcement is essential to maintaining the Constitutional Rule of Law. The local police are the last line of defense against criminals and tyrannical bureaucrats alike. To defund the police is to leave our cities and towns’ doors unlocked.

Federal Law Enforcement: Over the last several years, I have experienced first-hand, and railed against, the corruption and politicization of Federal Law Enforcement. I wrote the 5-Point Plan to Prosecute Corruption within Federal Law Enforcement  to root out corruption and determine to what extent Federal Law Enforcement agencies violate the 10th Amendment.

Small Business: Small business is the backbone of the free market, a primary mediating institution in our culture. Small businesses, like churches, reinforce the core values of our nation through local communities. 

My mother and father were both small business owners. Having built the largest pro-life medical network in the Eastern United States—increasing the budget from under $100k to over $5 Million—I know of the burdensome and intrusive nature of government regulation. Onerous laws like Biden’s Corporate Transparency Act ought to be rolled back.

Agriculture: Local, family-owned farms are essential to maintaining a thriving and healthy America. I’m proud to say that my grandfather maintained the family dairy farm while at the same time building his medical practice. Several of my sons work on farms throughout the year.

I understand the unique challenges farmers face—from barns burning down to freak hail storms, burdensome property taxes to regulations removing their hard-earned profit margins. It is imperative that Federal and State Governments get out of the way, reducing costly regulations, limiting Federal overreach of land grabs for solar and wind farms, and restraining foreign ownership of rural farmland.

It is also important to investigate, define, and limit farmland ownership monopolies—such as Blackstone and uber-wealthy individuals like Bill Gates.

Second Amendment: The right to keep and bear arms has nothing to do with hunting. Tyrannical government overreach and merciless criminals preying on our families is the context of the Second Amendment. It is the duty of every citizen to protect their families and local communities. Assaulting the right to keep and bear arms is an assault on true citizenry and the safety of our family, friends, and neighbors.
